About University Directory USA
University Directory USA is an independent reference site for students researching higher education in the United States. We publish two things: structured profiles of U.S. universities, and plain-language guides to the admission process.
What this site is
A starting point. We collect the facts that students compare first — location, size, control, selectivity, published costs, test policy, deadlines and accreditation — and present them in the same format for every institution so that comparison is possible. Each profile links to the university's own website, which is always the authoritative source.
What this site is not
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any university, government agency or admission authority. We do not accept payment from universities for inclusion, placement or favourable treatment. We do not sell leads, forward applicant data to recruiters, or operate a paid "matching" service.
No page on this site is an offer of admission, immigration advice or financial advice.
How the directory is compiled
University profiles are assembled from publicly available institutional sources — admission pages, published class profiles, tuition schedules and accreditation listings — and are reviewed on a periodic cycle. Every figure in the directory is an editorial estimate intended for orientation. Tuition changes annually, acceptance rates change annually, and test policies have changed several times in recent years.
Always verify any figure on the university's official website before you rely on it. Each profile carries a direct link for exactly that purpose, and each page shows the date it was last reviewed.
How the guides are written
The guides are written in-house by our editorial team, checked against primary sources such as the U.S. Department of Education, the Student and Exchange Visitor Program, federal financial aid publications and the accrediting agencies themselves. Where a rule varies by state or by institution, we say so rather than publishing a single number that would be wrong for most readers.
We correct errors. If you find one, write to us and tell us what is wrong and where the correct information is published; corrections are made to the page and the review date is updated.
How this site is funded
This site is free to use and is funded by display advertising. Advertisements are served by third-party networks and are labelled as advertisements. Advertisers have no influence over which universities appear in the directory, how they are described, or what our guides say. We do not publish sponsored profiles or paid reviews.
